What is Jazz?

The world of jazz includes many different kinds of music. Some light and happy, some heavy and dark and others smooth or fast. Most importantly, Jazz is full of surprises. Overall, jazz is the music of America, by Americans and for Americans. It is a unique art form which spread throughout the world.
