WE Members:

Attached is the final performance exam. You must make a recording on or before Friday, Jan 22 at 12:20 pm. No late entries will be accepted. Note: since most of you received an A- at the first quarter, it is highly recommended that you achieve a positive evaluation as possible on this assignment. Grading will be as follows: Scales – 10 pts ea., Shaker Dance – 25 pts, Blacksmith – 25 pts. Total = 70 pts. Final equals 20% of over grade.

Instructions for logging in and recording (may want to print this out)

1. Log into Charms (band website)
2. Student Login: smhsmusic
3. Input student password (student ID)
4. Choose recording studio Icon
5. Select assignment from drop down window

Recording:
1. Select record button
2. When finished recording, press Stop.
3. You can either record “over” your recording or press save

To check grade, log back onto Charms after finals.

Note: Recording can be done at home with a computer that has a built-in mic or done at school. School recording times are limited to Tuesday, Jan 19 (Lunch and 5th period) and Friday, Jan 22 (10:30 to 12:20). DO NOT PROCRASTINATE!! Remember, lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part.

On Friday, January 15, the San Marino HS Titan Marching Band and Color Guard will be marching down Main Street in downtown Disneyland in Anaheim.  This year marks the 55th year that the SMHS band will be participating in Disney’s Community Arts Showcase featuring marching band from around  the five counties sounding Anaheim’s main attraction.  Walt Disney initiated the program when Disneyland opened in 1955 to attract local talent. The group will leave school at 8:30 am, perform at 6:00 pm and return to SMHS approximately at 9:00 pm (see itinerary).
